The workshop venue is the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz.

Mainz is a beautiful, medium-sized city in the heart of Germany with excellent public transport connection by road, rail and air (half an hour by urban train from Frankfurt airport). It is the capital of the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate and lies at the shore of the Rhine. Mainz is famous for its carnival (unfortunately, the month of May lies outside the carnival season), its wines and its delicious local food. The Rhine-Main Region is the centre of the German logistics industry, where major air, inland waterway, rail and road facilities are located. Mainz was the "City of Science" in the year 2011 and provides a stimulating environment for research in logistics and transport.
